Short term rehabilitation services can help speed the recovery process for many patients. Inpatient services can be provided for individuals who have gone through surgery, suffered a fracture, had an extended hospital stay, or have an illness that has resulted in debilitation. Hyden HRC also specializes in recovery from procedures such as total joint replacement, any type of fractures, congestive heart failure, strokes, and pneumonia.
Treatment plans are individualized to help patients establish and reach obtainable goals. Most individuals require a combination of physical, occupational, and speech therapy, along with skilled nursing care.
The Short Term Rehabilitation team includes physicians, nurses, physical/occupational/speech therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, therapeutic activities professionals, and complete housekeeping and laundry services. The center also assists in discharge planning upon admission to make sure you have everything that is needed when you return home including prescriptions, follow up appointments scheduled, and home health services.
There are private rooms with private bath available for most short stay rehabilitation patients.
