Hyden Health and Rehabilitation Center wants to thank Mountain View Elementary’s 6th grade students for coming to the facility and delivering very thoughtful handmade Valentine’s Day cards for the residents. Staff took the opportunity to instill the importance of furthering their education as an adult. Carrie Adams, DON-RN, BSN, IP gave a little insight on the nursing career and long-term geriatric care, as well as the numerous opportunities in the nursing profession. Brittany Mitchell, PT/MSPT, gave demonstrations on how they assist and strive to improve daily functioning for the residents who depend on the therapy staff to return to prior level of functions. Thank you to the staff and kids for taking time and coming to the facility.
During this time, there were also some Valentine’s Day gift baskets, handmade cards, and candy handed out to the residents. Sweets for sweethearts.
