They say art imitates life and that is certainly true at Hyden Health and Rehabilitation. When it came time to do canvas painting during our weekly arts and crafts session, the residents leaned on nostalgia. They painted lightning bugs lighting up that beautiful sky in the Bluegrass, which they would try catch in a mason jar as kids.
Residents talked about the old days while they painted away, delivering us some great art that is now displayed on the walls of the facility. Who knew we had such great artists here in Hyden?
